Weary Students Return From 2013 Performance Trip to Salzburg, Vienna and Prague

With amazing memories, heavier suitcases, some sniffles, and tired feet, about 200 instrumental music students and marching band members returned to the States on Thursday, March 28 after an incredible week in Europe thanks to the efforts of Mr. Magalio, Monika Courtney, HCRHS administrators, HCRHS Health Office staff, faculty chaperones and countless other BPA and OPG members and parents. Although a herculean effort to move that many young adults through the busy agenda and several unfamiliar cities and airports, as a parent, shadow traveler I was amazed to see the cooperation, poise and respect that your children demonstrated. You should be so proud of them and and pleased to know that they all truly seemed to recognize the unique privilege that you enabled them to take advantage of. With two band and two orchestra performances they had the opportunity to showcase their talent to very appreciative local audiences and received standing ovations and hearty requests for encores. We will do our best to post photos and videos to this website, but in the interim the Red Devils Orchestra Parent Group Facebook page has lots of photos (please feel free to post your own to our Facebook page if you have them). We have also added a few video clips to you tube -- the links are on Facebook, but can be accessed directly:
